I was just doing searches on some way to have a neighborhood tea or coffee to get to know the women in our little circle or cul-de-sac.

I’ve lived here almost two years and have waved, run over to their houses when they’ve been outside with their dogs, introduced myself and, I guess forced myself on them.

Mary Ellen's Story

They’ve always been cordial but never spoken on their own, with the exception of the elderly couple next door and the man on the other side of them.  He and his kids love me.  His wife speaks but isn’t very outgoing… but she does say their kids think I’m great and I guess that’s a step in the right direction!

I love your ideas and I know that several of these ladies are church-goers, just different religions.  I might try getting them here first and seeing what direction they would like our little group to go.  You mentioned trying book club, bunco, etc. to get started.

I’m going to use your ideas. Thanks so much!
