My Statement of Faith

God I believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in nature, glory, and honor. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, sovereign, holy, omniscient, omnipotent, and perfectly good.

Jesus Christ I believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who became fully human through the virgin birth. He is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of humanity, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the right hand of the Father, where he reigns as Lord. He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

The Holy Spirit I believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the hearts of believers, indwells and empowers them for holy living, and guides the Church in truth.

Humanity and Sin I believe that humanity was created in the image of God, but through the fall, all people are born in sin, spiritually dead, and in need of redemption.

Salvation I believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. All who repent and trust in Jesus Christ are forgiven, justified, and adopted as children of God.

The Church I believe in the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church — the body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The Church is called to worship, discipleship, fellowship, and witness to the world in love.

Scripture I believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

The Sacraments I believe that Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances instituted by Christ, to be observed by his Church as outward signs of inward grace and as proclamations of the gospel.

Calling I believe each one of us is called to make disciples and we are gifted, equipped and prepared to do good works to glorify God’s name and build up His church.

Eternal Life I believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the final judgment of all people, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed in the presence of God, and the eternal condemnation of the unrepentant.
