You’re Invited to take part in The Neighborhood Collective!

Join Amy Lively and a group of innovators who are leading in the neighboring movement. The Neighborhood Collective is February 27 & 28, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas at Oak Hills Church (home of Randy Frazee and Max Lucado). The purpose behind the Neighborhood Collective is to bring together those who are actively involved in extending Christ’s presence into local neighborhoods. This endeavor provides pastors and ministry leaders with resources and relationships that will encourage Christ-followers to effectively reflect our Lord’s love right where they live and work. This is not some new church growth program. We are inviting you to gather with others on a most exciting journey . . . a journey that begins by simply obeying our Lord’s command to love those who live in our neighborhood! Neighborhood Collective San Antonio

In 2015, leaders from Oak Hills Church in San Antonio hosted a gathering of leaders from around the U.S. to talk about neighboring ministry. This gathering was called the Neighborhood Collective, and those who attended shared their successes, their failures, and their on-going experiments. There was a variety of different styles and methods expressed, but on one point, all could agree: Neighboring is a value that Christians and the Church must live out more literally.

In 2016, leaders from around the country came to Longmont, Colorado in February to continue to encourage each other in neighboring. The Neighborhood Collective continued to grow as more likeminded leaders found God at work in a variety of ways in the neighboring movement. We even hosted our first one-day Neighborhood Collective in May with over 50 leaders in Reseda, California, as the movement continued to expand.

In 2017, we will return to Oak Hills Church in San Antonio to share best practices, learn from each other, network with likeminded people, and hear more about ongoing progress in this movement. This time of encouragement is intended as a time to explore, encourage, learn, and keep the fires burning for what God will do in neighborhoods all over our country in the months and years to come. We hope you’ll plan to attend, and bring a team with you!

Where and when will the gathering take place in 2017?

The Neighborhood Collective will gather on Monday, February 27, through Tuesday, February 28, at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio.

Registration will begin at 12:30 PM on the 27th, with our opening session starting promptly at 1:00 PM. Tuesday runs from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM with lunch served at noon.

Who will be speaking?

Though we will hear from a few well-known practitioners, our chief desire is to facilitate conversation among those who attend. There are no experts in the field, only those who may have entered the field at an earlier date than others. And we are pleased to announce that some of those who adopted the neighboring ministry model early in the game will be speaking at our gathering. Click here to see a current list of speakers.

What is the cost?

Current rate is $99.00. (There is a discount for church planters.) You can register here.
